David J. Sangree, MAI, CPA,
ISHC |
Mr. Sangree’s expertise is in the appraisal and analysis of hotels, resorts, indoor waterpark resorts, and other leisure properties. He has performed studies on more than 1,000 existing and proposed hotels in more than 50 states and provinces in all price ranges including economy, full-service, extended-stay, and luxury hotels and resorts and indoor waterpark resorts. He has analyzed a wide range of waterparks, amusements parks, ski resorts, golf courses, and conference centers. He has extensive experience in performing market and feasibility studies, impact analysis, appraisals, financial analysis and performance projections, site selection, and financial reviews for hospitality properties. A graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, Mr. Sangree has been an active appraiser/consultant since 1987 and also has 10 years of work experience in the hotel/restaurant industry including management positions with four Westin Hotels properties. |

Eric B. Hansen, AIA, ISHC Director of Development Services |
Mr. Hansen’s expertise is in performing appraisals, market feasibility studies, property conditions assessments, and impact studies for hotels, resorts, waterparks, golf courses, conference centers, and other hospitality properties. Mr. Hansen offers over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has been the responsible architect on over 65 hotels (9,000+ keys) and conference centers of various brands, including full service, extended stay, select service and economy scales. In 2002, Mr. Hansen was invited to membership in the International Society of Hospitality Consultants as one of eight architects in the membership. Leveraging his background in architecture and consulting, he brings expertise in performing site planning and concept development, feasibility analysis, zoning expert witness testimony, jurisdictional due diligence, and PIP analysis. Mr. Hansen received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati in 1989 and a certification in hotel financial management from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, Professional Development Program in 2007. Tom Lewerenz Director of Hospitality Consulting |
Mr. Lewerenz has extensive experience in performing market and feasibility studies, appraisals, financial analyses and performance projections, site selection, and financial reviews for hospitality properties. He possesses additional expertise in supporting clients’ investment decision making to support development by completing valuation, underwriting and due diligence analyses for hotels, resorts, food & beverage and other leisure-oriented assets. He has performed hundreds of these studies both for private and public sector clients, in nearly 40 states and abroad in all price ranges including full-service, limited-service, extended-stay, and luxury. Mr. Lewerenz also has analyzed a wide range of marinas, golf courses, and conference centers. Mr. Lewerenz received a masters degree in hospitality management from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration in 1998 and a bachelor of arts in history from Ramapo College in 1989.
He has held previous consulting and management positions with Choice Hotels International, PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, Cini-Little International, ANA Hotel in Washington, DC, Legal Sea Foods restaurants, and the United States Marine Corps. Click here for full qualifications. |

Joseph Pierce |
Mr. Pierce has performed appraisals, market
feasibility studies, and impact studies nationally. He has a wide range
of experience in operations and accounting in hotels and resorts. He
has been a hospitality consultant and appraiser since 2003. During
his career he has also managed an independently-owned hotel, The Talbott
Hotel in Chicago and served at a Controller for both Marriott and Renaissance Hotels. Mr. Pierce
has an MBA from Michigan State University’s hospitality program. |

Laurel A. Keller |
Ms. Keller has performed appraisals, market
feasibility studies, and impact studies for a wide variety of hotels, golf
resorts, ski resorts, indoor waterpark resorts, restaurants, and other
leisure and hospitality oriented income-producing assets nationally. She
has been a hospitality consultant and appraiser since 2001, and holds a
Certified Real Estate Appraiser’s License in the state of Ohio. Laurel
Keller is a graduate of Purdue University’s hospitality management program. She
has held management positions in the food and beverage, front office, and sales

Nuresh Maredia Associate |
Mr. Maredia is a hospitality consultant and appraiser. He has performed appraisals, market feasibility studies, and impact studies for a wide variety of hotels, golf resorts, ski resorts, indoor waterpark resorts, restaurants, and other leisure and hospitality oriented income-producing assets nationally. He has a wide range of experience in operations in hotels and resorts. He has held management positions at a hotel and at a restaurant in Texas and has helped his family operate and manage four independent hotels in India. Kyle Mossman |
Mr. Mossman researches various hospitality-related
topics for the firm and performs reviews and math checks of reports. He
received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Otterbein College in 1999
and his Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from Kent
