Hospitality Consultant / Valuation Analyst

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in hospitality, real estate, or finance
  • Hotel operations, appraisal, or accounting experience
  • Commitment to quality, integrity, and thorough research in the field of hospitality consulting and real estate valuation
  • Strong analytical, financial, and report writing skills
  • Excellent Excel and Word capabilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
  • Coursework or experience relevant to real estate appraisal and state certification a plus


  • Prepare appraisals, feasibility studies, impact analyses, and consulting assignments for hotels, resorts, waterparks, golf courses, restaurants, conference and convention centers, and other leisure real estate
  • Create and interpret financial models and forecasts
  • Collect information in the field, online, and from qualified industry sources
  • Analyze financial, demographic, and hospitality statistics and derive meaningful conclusions
  • Produce comprehensive studies that are well written, detailed, and insightful
  • Travel nationwide for research as required

This position is at our Cleveland, OH headquarters. We have a great team of people in a very collaborative environment. Each consultant works independently on projects, but relies on feedback from other consultants and assistance from our talented research staff.

All consultants are expected to currently hold or obtain their Certified General Appraiser license in Ohio. You must meet these conditions established by the Ohio Department of Commerce:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (in any field) from an accredited college or university
  • All applicants for registration, licensure, or certification are required to complete a criminal records check of both state and national records

Additionally, many states limit the issuance or renewal of professional or occupational licenses or certificates to U.S. citizens or qualified aliens. You must be eligible to apply for temporary or reciprocal licenses in all states.
