  • David J. Sangree, MAI, CPA, ISHC

    President

    Mr. Sangree’s expertise is in the comprehensive analysis of leisure properties. He has performed studies on more than 2,000 existing and proposed hotels throughout North America in all price ranges including economy, full-service, extended-stay, luxury hotels and resorts, casinos, and waterpark resorts. He has also analyzed a wide range of amusements parks, ski resorts, golf courses, and conference centers. He has extensive experience in performing market and feasibility studies, impact analysis, appraisals, financial analysis and performance projections, and site selection. Since 1987, Mr. Sangree has provided consulting services to banks, hotel companies, developers, management companies, and other parties involved in the lodging and leisure industry. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration in 1984. Mr. Sangree holds certified general real estate appraiser licenses in Ohio, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

    Ms. Keller is an MAI designated appraiser and hospitality consultant. She prepares appraisals, market feasibility studies, and impact studies for a wide variety of hotels, golf resorts, ski resorts, indoor waterpark resorts, restaurants, and other leisure and hospitality properties nationally. She has been a hospitality consultant and appraiser since 2001, and holds a Certified Real Estate Appraiser’s License in the states of Ohio and Pennsylvania. Laurel Keller is a graduate of Purdue University’s hospitality management program. She has held management positions in the food and beverage, front office, and sales departments of hotel and country club properties in Ohio and Illinois.
  • Eric B. Hansen, AIA, ISHC

    Mr. Hansen's expertise is in performing appraisals, market feasibility studies, property condition assessments, and impact studies for hotels, resorts, waterparks, sports venues, golf courses, conference centers, and other hospitality properties. Mr. Hansen offers more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has been the responsible architect on more than 65 hotels and conference centers of various brands, including full-service, extended stay, select-service and economy chain scales. In 2002, Mr. Hansen was invited to membership in the International Society of Hospitality Consultants as one of only eight architects at the time in the membership. He brings expertise in performing site planning and concept development, feasibility analysis, appraisals, and PIP analysis. Mr. Hansen received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati in 1989 and a certification in hotel financial management from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, Professional Development Program in 2007. He holds Certified Real Estate Appraiser licenses in Ohio, Michigan, and New York and is a candidate for designation of the Appraisal Institute. Mr. Hansen was formerly employed by Cole + Russell Architects, Inc., as the Director of the C+RA Hospitality Studio.

    Mr. Pierce is an MAI designated appraiser and and hospitality consultants. He prepares appraisals, market feasibility studies, and impact studies nationally for a wide range of hospitality properties. He has extensive experience in operations and accounting in hotels and resorts. He has been a hospitality consultant and appraiser since 2003 and holds a Certified Real Estate Appraiser License in the state of Ohio. During his career he has also managed an independently-owned hotel, The Talbott Hotel in Chicago and served as a Controller for both Marriott and Renaissance Hotels. Mr. Pierce has an MBA from Michigan State University’s School of Hospitality Business and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York at Brockport.
  • Nuresh Maredia

    Director of Appraisal & Consulting Services

    Mr. Maredia performs appraisals, market feasibility studies, and impact studies for a wide variety of hotels, golf resorts, ski resorts, indoor waterpark resorts, restaurants, and other leisure and hospitality properties nationally. He heads up our San Antonio office. He has been a hospitality consultant and appraiser since 2006 and holds a Certified Real Estate Appraiser License in the state of Texas. He has a wide range of experience in operations in hotels and resorts. He has held management positions at a hotel and at a restaurant in Texas and has helped operate and manage four independent hotels in India. Mr. Maredia has a Masters of Science in Hospitality Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Finance, both from Michigan State University. He is currently working towards his MAI Designation from the Appraisal Institute.

    Mr. Kelley spent nearly five years working for Westin Hotels in Rhode Island and Maryland in the Rooms Division. During his tenure at LRA Worldwide, Inc., he completed over 500 hotel evaluations in 46 states across the U.S. and more than 20 countries throughout the Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. John is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a B.S. in Hotel and Tourism Management. In 2015, completed his graduate studies at Northeastern University for a dual-master’s degree in business and finance. He has been recognized by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation for his advanced studies and contributions to the hospitality industry and received Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) from AH&LA. He is also a Registered ServSafe Proctor and Certified ServSafe Instructor. Mr. Kelley is an adjunct professor at Cuyahoga Community College’s Hospitality Management Center in Cleveland, teaching courses related to lodging and tourism. Mr. Kelley is a Registered Real Estate Appraiser Assistant in Ohio and performs appraisals, market feasibility studies, economic impact studies, and impact studies throughout the United States.

    John Burke

    Mr. Burke has over three year’s revenue management experience with Hilton Worldwide where he oversaw a portfolio of over 150 focus service hotels, which generated over $500M of revenue. During his time at Hilton, he tested the new Global Revenue Optimization (GRO) system, which was rolled out to all of Hilton’s focus service brands. Prior to Hilton, Mr. Burke worked for InterContinental Hotels Group where he analyzed hotels’ booking channels. John is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and a minor in Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management. Mr. Burke is a Registered Real Estate Appraiser Assistant in Ohio and prepares appraisals, market feasibility studies, economic impact studies, and impact studies throughout the United States.

His prior experience includes work as an insurance analyst and as a mathematics and statistics instructor. He earned his B.A. in Philosophy from Wright State University in 2000 and his M.A. in Mathematics Education from Kent State University in 2004.
