Great Wolf Family Resorts has proposed to expand the facilities on the 38-acre site currently occupied by the Dolce Atlanta-Peachtree Hotel and Resort into a Great Wolf Lodge property.

Laurel Keller will be addressing the attendees at the Greater Cleveland Lodging Council Luncheon Meeting on January 30, 2015 at the Sheraton Cleveland-Airport hotel. Ms. Keller will give an overview of the lodging market in Cleveland. Her talk will highlight hotel supply additions and other changes affecting the hotel market in 2015.

David J. Sangree, MAI, CPA, ISHC was acknowledged by the Urban Land Institute for serving on the review committee for the 2015 Real Estate Trends in Northeastern Ohio.

An H&LA consultant is traveling to Ann Arbor, Michigan this week to gather market data and complete site inspections related to two hotel appraisals.

A January article in Ski Magazine by Joe Cutts, titled ‘Mountain of Money’, highlighted Jay Peaks Resort ceaseless construction. The owners of Jay Peak have taken advantage of the federal EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. Wealthy foreigners who are willing to invest $500,000 in specially designated low-employment zones are rewarded with a green card for themselves and their families if their investments are determined by regulators to save or create jobs.

To kick off the New Year, our consultants are headed to Boston, Massachusetts and Cincinnati, Ohio this week for market research and fieldwork related to two hotel impact studies.
