Hotel & Leisure Advisors Represented at Ohio Travel Association Conference

Eric Hansen recently attended the Ohio Conference on Travel at the Hilton Columbus at Easton hotel in Columbus, Ohio. He joined approximately 500 other travel industry members to discuss tourism trends and opportunities, as well as to hear from national experts. The conference, sponsored by the Ohio Travel Association and Ohio Hotel and Lodging Association, was held Oct. 26-28, 2016.

Keynotes at the conference included Jonathan Grella, Vice President of public affairs at the U.S. Travel Association, who discussed how to transform travel through the consideration of travel trends and forecasts; Barbara Wold, founder of Barbara Wold International, who advised attendees how to move tourists from mere satisfaction to real advocacy; Mary Cusick, Director of TourismOhio, who discussed the demographics of Ohio’s visitors; and Debra Jasper, Founder and CEO of Mindset Digital, who engaged with the audience on how to stand out in today’s crowded digital spaces. The conference agenda also included sessions on funding, avoiding legal disputes, data and operational security and more.

The Ohio Travel Association is the nonprofit association representing museums, attractions, hotels, destination marketing organizations, suppliers, restaurants, campgrounds, bed and breakfasts and other businesses who make up Ohio’s $42 billion travel industry.
