H&LA was pleased to be part of the Global Hotels & Resorts Report 2024 with WhiteWater, which analyzed the impact of waterpark equipment on hotels and resorts worldwide. H&LA quantified the changes that the installation of WhiteWater products had on select properties. We analyzed performance figures concerning occupancy and ADR for multiple groups of properties and compared their performance to national and international performance figures. We interviewed a group of global managers to obtain their opinions concerning various trends in the water park industry.

Overall, the data indicates even greater premiums for hotels and resorts with water park equipment as compared to traditional groupings of hotels in nearly all categories in 2023 as compared to 2019 data shown in our previous report. Our research indicates that substantial ADR growth occurs for all categories for properties with water park equipment as compared to national groupings while occupancy growth occurs, but not in all property classes.
