Maryland may be home to the next Great Wolf Lodge. Officials in Perryville and Cecil County said they are close to finishing a deal for a $200 million waterpark resort on a site next to the Hollywood Casino in Perryville. The development is expected to open by summer 2022.

The proposed resort will feature an indoor/outdoor waterpark, climbing wall, ropes course, 400-room hotel, restaurants, shops and a conference center for 700 to 1,000 people. Project officials anticipate the development will attract about a half million people each year.
