Hotel Development Opportunity in Reeves County, Texas

On behalf of Reeves County, Texas, Hotel & Leisure Advisors invites qualified developers to submit proposals for the development of an approximately 120-room, select-service hotel in Pecos, Texas. The hotel will be adjacent to the county-developed Cyclone Ballparks and the under-development 50,000-square-foot $49 million indoor waterpark.

Pecos is the largest community between Odessa and El Paso in central West Texas and is the county seat of Reeves County.

In addition, the county plans to construct a 10,000- to 20,000-square-foot convention center that will be attached to the hotel. The developer will provide input on the convention center construction and could have the opportunity to manage it. The project aims to enhance the region’s hospitality infrastructure to support business travelers, tourists, and events. The selected developer will be responsible for all aspects of the hotel project, including planning, financing, design, construction, management, and ownership. The site is on land controlled by Reeves County that will be sold or leased to the developer as part of the negotiations for the project.

The site is on the northeast quadrant of County Road 118 and County Road 115 in Pecos, Reeves County, Texas. A feasibility study for the project was completed in 2024 and will be made available to qualified and interested parties. The goal of the development is to attract visitors and families from outside the county to the Cyclone Ballparks, indoor waterpark, and the convention center. A single management company may operate the hotel and convention center to maximize the usage, revenue, and profitability of both properties.
