ERLANGER, Ky. (WKRC) – A new adventure park is coming to Erlanger as city leaders break ground on a project three times the size of Kings Island.

The 1000-acre Eons Adventure Park is a large undertaking that spans from CVG Airport across the city of Erlanger to the Riverfront Commons in Ludlow.

“This is creating an anchor for our Northern Kentucky region. This is creating a place people want to stay, and they’re locked into building and investing in our community,”Erlanger Mayor Jessica Fette said.

The first phase will include a dog park on Erlanger Road that will be completed by June 2025. It’s going to take more money to create the bike and canopy trails, the overlooks, and murals, however. In total, it will be a $40 million project.

“As quickly as we can get funds to support the individual phases, that’s as quick as it’s going to go. We’re really focusing on state grants and federal grants for this type of project,” Fette said.

City leaders project that Eons will create thousands of jobs and bring hundreds of thousands of tourists to Erlanger year after year.

“Being able to play a role in creating a healthy lifestyle for our citizens and giving them another opportunity to get outside and be active and take their children out into nature. I think the outcomes in a positive direction are endless,” said Fette.
