5 landmarks reinvented as hotels via tax credits

Hotels throughout the United States are being developed through adaptive reuse with aid from historic tax credits at the federal and state level.

Here’s a roundup of five adaptive-reuse hotels that have opened, broken ground or are currently being constructed in 2016. Each project has received some kind of historic tax credit funding, and some of the properties included in the roundup are registered as national historic landmarks.
