This past week during the annual Ohio Conference on Tourism, I took the oath to lead the Ohio Travel Association as its 46th president. I am truly honored and humbled to accept the responsibility. I have the advantage of becoming president at a very exciting time for the tourism industry in Ohio.

Our hospitality consultants are traveling to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee this week for market research and fieldwork related to an indoor waterpark feasibility study.

H&LA offers congratulations to our client, Marriott International, on their purchase of Starwood Hotels & Resorts. This $12.2 billion merger will make Marriott the largest hotel company in the world. We wish Marriott much success with this endeavor.

Our consultants are headed to Manteca, California and Branson, Missouri this week for fieldwork related to two indoor waterpark feasibility studies.

In 2014, H&LA completed a feasibility study for a proposed hotel and indoor waterpark as part of the larger Grand Central development in Grand Prairie, Texas.
